Case Binding

 

A hardcover book has rigid covers and is stitched in the spine. Looking from the top of the spine, the book can be seen to consist of a number of signatures bound together. When the book is opened in the middle of a signature, the binding threads are visible. It is mostly used for children’s books, yearbooks, novels, art books. We are capable of producing 36.000 case bound books daily.

Case Bound Covers:

  • A grey board can be covered with a paper, fabric, PU or PVC
  • A paper cover is generally laminated. Decoration with foil, embossing or spot UV varnish can be added while books are bound with a bookmark ribbon.

Case Bound Blocks:

  • Case Bound – The inner block is sewn in sections and glued
  • Perfect Case Bound – The inner block is trimmed and glued
